Speaker to discuss when business, environment cross

Renowned environmentalist, entrepreneur and author Paul Hawken will speak about his new book, “Blessed Unrest: How the Largest Movement in the World Came into Being and Why No One Saw it Coming,” March 14 and 15 at the Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Ave.

Hawken’s career has focused on the intersection of business and the environment. He has started and run ecological businesses, written and taught about the impact of commerce on living systems, and consulted with governments and corporations on economic development, industrial ecology, and environmental policy.

Tickets to the event cost $50 for March 14 and $30 for March 15 and include a wine reception, music, a Q-and-A session, a book signing and dessert in addition to the lecture.
