Mesa Consolidated Water District announced veteran Jerry Vilander will take over the responsibilities of retired Water Operations Manager Bill Johnson, who left the position after 25 years of service last month.

Vilander, who has worked in municipal water and sewer services for more than 15 years, said he was looking forward to his new responsibilities.

“I appreciate this tremendous opportunity to be a part of a district that is so committed to the community it serves and has been at the forefront of water treatment technology,” he said in a news release. “I look forward to working with Mesa’s dedicated board and staff.”
