Football camp opens April 7

A Spring Football Skills Camp will take place April 7-9 at Guyer Field at Laguna Beach High.

The camp will be held between 9 a.m. and noon on those three days and is open to youth grades third through eighth.

Participants in the no-contact football skills camp will learn blocking and tackling forms as well as defensive and special teams position skills.

Fundaments will be taught and executed during flag scrimmages.

Each participant will receive a Laguna Beach football T-shirt but is required to bring athletic shorts, mouth guard and cleats, plus snack and sufficient water, each day of camp.

The cost is $105 per camper and $53 per additional family member.

Interested youth can sign up through Laguna Beach Community Services.
