Clarkson is considered by NFL, collegiate and high school quarterbacks to be an influential quarterback developer and launched the Academy to teach young, aspiring quarterbacks and receivers the skills for college football and ultimately the pros.

Clarkson is responsible for training such athletes as Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Matt Leinart of the Arizona Cardinals.

The Clarkson Academy is backed by the DeBartolo Sports University, which gave Barkley the Joe Montana Award in January.
