PET OF THE WEEK

KITTENS AVAILABLE  

Four of eight kittens — calico; black and white; white with tabby; and five orange and white — are available for adoption at the Community Animal Network.

Four of them have been pre-adopted through the organizations Pet-Match Service, which gives people first chance to pick the kittens based on the color and sex of the dog or cat that they want.

Would-be adopters donate $25 for the service, and the services are good for one year to find a particular animal.

These kittens will be available for adoption at noon at Fashion Island in front of Russo’s Pet Experience.

Immediately following is a mandatory 30-minute Pet Parenting class, which will begin at 1:15 p.m.

Those interested in lap cats can come meet two declawed orange cats from noon to 4 p.m.
