Buchanan Street Partners 5, McMonigle Group 0: Pitcher Luke Napolitano threw a no-hitter and nearly had a perfect game in Buchanan Street Partners’ victory Wednesday.

He struck out 14 of the 19 batters he faced with no walks. With one out in the fifth inning, an overthrow to first on a bunt for an error proved to be the one play keeping Napolitano from a perfect game.

Chad Redfearn, Chris Croxton and Ricky Zak had two hits each and Robbie Farber had a triple to lead Buchanan Street Partners.

Peter Walecka made two outstanding plays on hard-hit infield ground balls to prevent hits and Cole Collins made a great play in the outfield to end the game and preserve the no-hitter. Harry Lamb, Thomas Sweeney, Ryan Maiser, Paul Sigler and Jared Eckenweiler also contributed to the victory.

Earlier in the season, Napolitano threw a one-hitter against Jack’s Surfboards striking out 13 batters in another shutout win.
