A Costa Mesa man could face more prison time in connection with exposing himself to two women at Moon Park off California Avenue over the weekend, prosecutors said Monday.

Glen Montgomery, 56, was arrested Sunday morning after two women called police saying Montgomery had dropped his pants and began masturbating in front of them at the park, Lt. Allen Huggins said.

Court records show Montgomery is a repeat sexual offender who has been convicted of exposing himself to people, including children, multiple times since 1995.

Details of the incidents were not immediately available.

Police described Montgomery as a transient who lived in his trailer home off Cadillac Avenue, an industrial area within walking distance of the park.

Officials said transient-related incidents at the park next to the Santa Ana Bike Trail are rare.

“Moon Park is so isolated from others and there are so many residents close to it keeping their eyes out, [transients] aren’t really a problem there,” Lt. Paul Dondero said.

“By and large that park’s been pretty quiet,” said David Stiller, a former parks and recreation commission member. Larger parks, like Lions Park, generally field most of the complaints related to the homeless, Dondero said.

Montgomery is registered on the Megan’s Law website in connection with a conviction in Anaheim.
