Newport orthodontist to open today for kids, adults

Newport Orthodontics and Children’s Dentistry, a new practice for children and adults, is scheduled to hold its grand opening from noon to 3 p.m. today.

The office at 2515 Eastbluff Drive, run by Newport Coast resident Hedi Kermani, will celebrate its opening with food, live music and giveaways of toys, T-shirts and dental travel kits, among other things. Staff will also be on hand to give information and schedule appointments.

Kermani, who trained at the UCLA School of Dentistry and the University of Pittsburgh, has worked at other practices in Los Angeles and Orange County before launching her first private practice in Newport Beach.
