INDIAN WELLS — The Anteaters breezed in the semifinals of the Big West Conference Tournament Saturday, advancing to today’s title match against regular-season conference champion Long Beach State at 9 a.m. at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Senior Becky Bernhard rolled at No. 1 singles, winning 12 of 15 games, while Rebecca Kwan and Jessica Broadfoot won in singles and doubles for the Anteaters (16-8).
Northridge fell to 14-8.
Today will mark UCI’s fourth appearance in the Big West tournament final in the last seven seasons.

SAN DIEGO — The Anteaters scored five times in the first period and three times in the fourth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament ninth-place semifinal Saturday at San Diego State.
Junior Julia Fancher led UCI (16-11) with three goals, while senior goalie Lauren Machanis made 12 saves.
Junior Ashling Taylor, a Newport Harbor High product, scored a goal for UCI.
UCSB ends up 6-20.
The ’Eaters face Cal State Northridge today at 10:20 a.m. in the ninth-place game.

INDIAN WELLS — The Anteaters split six singles matches, but lost the doubles point to fall in the semifinals of the Big West Conference Tournament Saturday at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Senior Victor Lamm won at No. 2 singles and paired with senior Ajay Ahluwalia to win at No. 2 doubles, but it wasn’t enough as the Anteaters conclude their season 11-14.
Pacific improved to 11-12.

COSTA MESA — Visiting Point Loma Nazarene won Game 1, 7-2, then capped the Golden State Athletic Conference sweep with a 5-3 victory to likely end the Lions’ season.
Vanguard falls to 33-23, 8-16 in conference, while Point Loma improves to 41-7, 20-4.
