PET OF THE WEEK

JAGGER

Community Animal Network plucked a 9-month-old Maine Coon from Orange County’s animal shelter and named him after rock star Mick Jagger.

Jagger has had occasional seizures and requires medication that costs $10.99 a month. They’re minor, though, so don’t worry about a 19th nervous breakdown.

“Someone will love him and not mind an occasional episode,” Community Animal Network founder DiAnna Pfaff-Martin said.

According to his current caregiver, Jan Chase, Jagger is a friendly cat.

“He takes his medicine right from my hand and is lovable and calm with beautiful amber eyes,” Chase said.

The Community Animal Network needs volunteers and pet owners for the large amount of animals the organization is trying to find homes for. To volunteer your time, call (949) 533-0411.

Community Animal Network has pet adoptions from noon to 4 p.m. weekends outside Russo’s Pet Experience in Fashion Island.

Last weekend the Community Animal Network had its first live fundraising event and had trouble unloading a number of items. The organization is asking for additional donations to help find pets a home.

To donate, mail your check to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658 and memo your check nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560 non-event.
