3 Ocean View schools to be honored at Disneyland

The Ocean View School District announced three of its elementary schools have received prestigious state awards.

Harbour View, Hope View, and Oak View Schools have all been recognized as California Distinguished Schools, an honor the California Department of Education bestows on schools that apply based on their Academic Performance Index (API) and Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) scores, both based on student standardized testing.

The 343 recipient schools statewide will be recognized May 16 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. For more information, go to www.cde.ca.gov.
