LDS Singles Conference in Huntington Beach draws more than 1,400

On April 25-27, more than 1,400 30-something singles from across the country, Canada, and even as far as the UK, New Zealand, and Australia attended the 2nd Annual Huntington Beach Midsingles Conference, “A More Excellent Hope”, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the Huntington Beach LDS Stake Center, 8702 Atlanta Avenue in Huntington Beach.

Activities included workshops, devotional, dances, speed dating, and 14 different beach activities on Friday and Saturday including over 600 30-something singles participating in the Earth Day Beach Clean Up, last Saturday sponsored by the City of Huntington Beach and the Surfrider Foundation spread over Dog Beach, North of the HB Pier, and by the Santa Ana River at PCH.

Sunday Services for the Conference featured sermons or talks on the Savior Jesus Christ and the hope He provides to us all. Elder John Dalton of the Area Authority Seventy of the Church from Yorba Linda was the keynote speaker.
