Newport Beach restaurant 21 Oceanfront will unveil its newly renovated second-floor bar this Friday, as well as a number of other improvements to its downstairs dining area.

“We gave the restaurant a little face lift,” said Director of Marketing and Events Nicole Hay.

The restaurant is has with large, panoramic views of the ocean, as well as all new wallpaper, carpet and Victorian art.

The renovations will allow greater seating and broader views of the restaurant’s picturesque ocean scenery, including a number of mirrors that will allow diners to watch the sunset anywhere, Hay said.

“You just walk in and go, ‘Wow’ — it’s just a fresh and very traditional look, not jeopardizing the integrity of what the restaurant is,” she said. “We just really freshened it up.”

TGI FRIDAY SAYS THANKS TO MOMS

TGI Friday’s announced this week they will extend a “thank you” to every mom in America this Mother’s Day, with a free dessert with the purchase of any entrée at the family chain.

It is the first time in the restaurant’s history such an offer has been made, the company said in a news release.

Those interested in taking TGI Friday’s up on the offer can visit the Costa Mesa location at 664 Anton Blvd.

Don’t forget — Mother’s Day is May 11.
