LAGUNA HILLS — Senior Shelby Buckley won two events and junior Claire Schmidt had one title, and both were part of the winning 1,600-meter relay team to lead the Corona del Mar High girls to the championship Friday.

Buckley won the 800 in 2 minutes, 19.29 seconds and the 1,600 in 5:03.24, while Schmidt won the 400 in 58.78 and

Sarah Craig and Tina Theriot were also on the Sea Kings’ 4x400 team.

Corona del Mar freshman Natalie Rempalski won the triple jump (35 feet, 4 1/2 inches).

On the boys’ side, the Sea Kings’ Blaine Bolus won the long jump (21-5) and triple jump (45-3).

The CdM boys finished third.
