Project Appleseed

I am excited to announce to you that the Appleseed Project, as presented by the Revolutionary War Veterans Association, has purchased for use a range at Wes Thompsons Piru rifle range!

This was due to the huge success of the April 19 project.

The attendance there was the largest of the nation that weekend. We expect to be better able to meet the great demand for this program by owning our own range.

For those who are not familiar with our program here is a brief statement.

The Appleseed Project is a grassroots effort, by a 501.c.3, non-profit, all volunteer organization, to preserve and pass on traditional rifle marksmanship skills Americans across this nation.

RWVA does this by conducting Appleseed Shoots, which are a weekend rifle marksmanship clinic, with a Heritage presentation throughout the course. We strive to give the average rifle owner the traditional Rifleman skills that have been passed on from generation to generation in American since it’s founding.

The marksmanship course is designed for beginner to experienced rifle shooters, to learn how to more accurately shoot their rifle, to ranges that most modern rifle owners think too difficult.

If you have ever wanted to learn what skills are required to be able to shoot accurately with your rifle out to 500 yards, then an Appleseed Shoot is the place for you.

If you have ever desired to be able to utilize the full accuracy potential of your rifle, this Appleseed Shoot will give you that chance.

If you desire to see the Rifleman Heritage of America passed on to future generations, then you will love what you experience at an Appleseed Shoot!

The Heritage presentation of the Appleseed Shoot will take your back to the time that the American Rifleman Heritage began.....April 19th, 1775. This was the beginning of America, with the “shot heard around the world”, and when the Heritage of Riflemen in this nation began.

We will share the stories and lives of those that were present on that special day in American history. We will share with you the Tradition and Heritage that they began and have passed on to us.

Take a look at what Chris Knox of the Firearms Coalition wrote about his experience at an Appleseed Shoot https://www.firearmscoalition.org/index.php?option=com_content&task;=view&id;=147&Itemid;=63

Also, Stewart Rhodes, of SWAT Magazine, joined us and wrote about his experience in the current February 2008 issue of SWAT Magazine. In that article, you can read why he says, “That is why this is no mere shooting program. This is a path back to regaining an essential part of what it means to be an American”.

Appleseed Shoots are family friendly events, with kids under 21 shooting FREE, and we offer our Appleseed Shoots FREE to all military.

Please visit our web site at www.appleseedinfo.org to get more information about this exciting, nation wide program. You can register for this event on line and get more details about the next Piru event on May31, June 1.

Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to seeing you at the RWVA Piru range on May 31, June 1 !
