Buttons would be a special catch for any family that decided to give her a home. She is a 7-year-old white Maltese mix who has already been spayed. The Community Animal Network is trying to find Buttons a new home with a female owner without children in order to give Buttons the attention she desires.

“She is affectionate and loving with women, but is afraid of men,” Community Animal Network founder DiAnna Pfaff-Martin said.

See Buttons and other potential pets from noon to 4 p.m. this weekend at the Community Animal Network Fashion Island pet adoption sponsored by Russo’s pet Experience. Buttons will be at the adoption Saturday, while Bear, a lab Akita mix, will be the featured pet up for adoption Sunday.
