PET OF THE WEEK

Bear, an 8-year-old lab Akita mix, he loves to play with Beanie Babies, balls and other toys much like a puppy. Bear’s owners were forced to give up Bear after adopting him because their homeowner’s association denied them having a dog of Bear’s size.

Bear is being boarded for the moment, but the family is hoping someone will adopt him soon as the boarding costs are expensive.

“Bear is just a big love,” said the Community Animal Network Founder DiAnna Pfaff Martin. “He likes to hear you speak in ‘baby talk’ and he gets along with children and other dogs.”
