“I’m not surprised at all,” Laguna Coach Lance Stewart said of Hutchinson’s selection as girls’ MVP. “She can take over any match. She’s such a dynamic player.”

Hutchinson, an outside hitter who had eight kills in the match, will play next year at the University of Arizona. Hutchinson enjoyed an illustrious high school career. She led the Breakers to CIF Southern Section Division II-AA titles the past two years. She earned Orange Coast League Most Valuable Player honors this past season, among many prep honors she received throughout her career.
