Breakers to hold program tonight at local yacht club

Newport Beach Breakers team chairman Alan H. Beyer, M.D., will be giving a presentation on the Breakers tonight at 7 at the Newport Beach Yacht Club.

The theme for the free event is “A Look at World Team Tennis: A Newport Beach Tradition Takes a New Direction,” and it will discus the Breakers’ partnership with Hoag Hospital. There will also be a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. Parking is available. Free parking is available in the Surgery Center parking lot on Bayside Drive, with on-site parking available for NBYC members only.

The Breakers, operated by and benefiting the Hoag Hospital Foundation, begin their home season at Newport Beach Country Club on July 5. Lindsay Davenport, Anna Kournikova, Martina Navratilova, Serena Williams, and John McEnroe are among the marquee stars scheduled this season.
