Sea Kings product Anae gets All-American honor

USC goalie Tumua Anae, a Corona del Mar High product, recently earned first-team All-American honors.

Anae completed her sophomore year at USC with 232 saves.

She was an integral part of the Trojans’ 2008 season that ended in the NCAA title game. Anae had a career-high 14 saves in the title match, which USC lost, 6-3, to UCLA.

Anae finished the year averaging 8.9 saves a game and had a meer 4.6 goals-against average which was better than any other goalie in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Anae, a broadcast journalism major, helped the Trojans finish 21-8.
