A man wanted by police for violating a restraining order filed by his ex-wife will be in court Monday after police tracked him to a Costa Mesa home where they found two bombs, authorities said.

Ronald Turner, 44, was arrested by Huntington Beach police at a Costa Mesa home in the 200 block of Magnolia Street shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday, records show. Authorities declined to comment on Huntington Beach’s involvement because the investigation is ongoing. Records show Turner once lived in Huntington Beach.

When police and an Orange County Sheriff’s fugitive task force took Turner into custody, they also found he had two large, sophisticated pipe bombs inside, said sheriff’s spokesman Damon Micalizzi. While the bomb squad was trying to render the bombs safe, one exploded, Micalizzi said. No one was injured.
