La Habra (Southeast Division) and Centennial/Corona (Inland Division) won Southern Section championships last fall.

The passing league tournament is in its ninth year, Edison Coach Dave White said.

“It’s really turned into a huge event and this year’s tournament has several outstanding teams in it,” White said. “It will give our quarterbacks, receivers and defensive backs some good experience going up against teams of this caliber. It’s also our final day of summer ball, and it’s a fun way to end it before we start up again Aug. 4.”

Edison, Santa Margarita, Corona Centennial and Trabuco Hills, make up one of the four four-team pools.
