UCI chancellor to serve year as OCPAC director

UCI chancellor Michael Drake was recently elected to the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s board of directors. Drake joins three other newly appointed members, among them Marta Bhathal, Eve Kornyei and Barbara Parsky.

Chancellor at UCI since 2005, the 56-year-old Drake will serve a one-year term on the organization’s board of directors. The position is familiar to Drake, who was president of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical society. He also served as chairman of the board of directors for the Assn. of Academic Health Centers.

Drake is a graduate of Stanford University and UC San Francisco’s School of Medicine. He resides in Irvine.
