RESTAURANT ROUNDUP:

Landmark Steakhouse in Corona Del Mar has added a touch of music for diners during the summer months.

The restaurant is home to a piano lounge featuring Jeff Vance from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Thursday.

After the piano lounge’s conclusion, the music turns up a notch as Landmark has a live DJ with music and dancing running from 10 p.m. until closing time.

Landmark’s Thursday night dancing was reintroduced last week to a very warm reception from customers, owner Mario Marovic said.

“It was huge,” he said. “We got a giant response.”

Cheesecake slices to be sold for $1.50

The Cheesecake Factory will celebrate its 30th anniversary nationwide on July 30.

Cheesecake Factory diners in Newport Beach’s Fashion Island will benefit from the chain restaurant’s anniversary, receiving slices of cheesecake for $1.50 — the price they were sold for when the first one was opened in 1978.

The restaurant will also feature a limited-edition Chocolate Cake Cheesecake, which will help benefit Second Harvest, a national hunger-relief organization.

Twenty-five cents on the sale of each slice will go to the nonprofit group.
