Following a fire that caused more than $50,000 in damage, the BMW and Mini auto shop Coast Motor Werk will still have its annual open house Saturday.

On July 11, a fire engulfed the newly remodeled shop, damaging 10 cars as well, according to a news release from the business. Those cars all required detail work because of smoke damage.

But a group of friends, families, employees and workers from American Technical Inc. helped owner Ron Inchausti to clean up and set up for his annual open house, “Beer, Brats and BMWs ’08.”

The open house features a car show, clean car contest, bounce house, and games. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Coast Motor Werk, 15385 Chemical Lane, Huntington Beach.
