Surveillance tape shows Costa Mesa robbery

Costa Mesa police have released the surveillance video of the man who robbed a Circle K convenience store on Bristol Street at gunpoint last week.

The man, seen in the video walking in with a gun and immediately approaching the clerk behind the counter, is described as a 5-foot, 9-inch, white, 21-year-old male weighing about 160 pounds with a dark blue sleeveless shirt, black jeans and a black hat reading “Glock.” The robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m. July 16.

The video shows the clerk emptying the drawer for the robber, then the man running away. The man was last seen running westbound on Paularino Avenue.
