Harbor View takes conference title

CORONA DEL MAR — The Harbor View Swim Team edged Newport Hills by 58 points to win the South Coast Swim Conference title Saturday at Corona del Mar High.

Harbor View Coach Ted Bandaruk was all smiles after his team scored 1,765 points. Newport Hills finished with 1,707. Green Valley (1,255), Lake Forest (1,071), Greenbrook (714) and Pacific Sands (680) followed.

Harbor View also won division championships, capturing titles in the boys’ 9-10 age group, as well as boys’ 11-12 and girls’ 15-18. Newport Hills won the boys’ 5-6, girls’ 5-6, boys’ 7-8, girls’ 7-8, girls’ 9-10 and boys’ 13-14 age divisions.
