LOCALS MISS CUT

BEAUMONT — Locals Camden Nicholson and Lauren Draganza missed qualifying into today’s third and final round in their respective divisions at the American Junior Golf Assn. TEE UP Junior Challenge at Oak Valley Golf Club Wednesday.

Nicholson, a senior-to-be at Corona del Mar High, shot a 10-over-par 82 in the second round to finish with a two-day total of 157. Only the top 45 boys advanced to the final round and Nicholson missed moving on by seven strokes.

In girls, Draganza, who’s from Costa Mesa, improved on her first round score by eight strokes with a six-over-par 78.

But her two-round total of 164 wasn’t enough to join 21 other golfers in the final round.
