Financial company opens another center in CdM

Despite a struggling economy, Wachovia Corporation is continuing its effort to expand throughout California as it opened its 37th Orange County financial center, in Corona del Mar, Tuesday.

The center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Wachovia is one of the largest financial service companies in the United States, with $812.4 billion in assets.

The company works in numerous financial institutions, including retail banking and brokerage, wealth management, investing, mortgage lending and auto finance.

It operates 3,300 retail financial centers in 21 states.

The new Wachovia is at 3600 E. Coast Hwy., Corona del Mar.
