She was born in Ontario, Ca on June 7,

1920.She passed away peacefully, surrounded

by her husband and family in

Modesto,Ca. She was 88 years old.

She grew up in Ontario,Ca graduation

from Chaffey Union High School and

Chaffey Junior College, both in Ontario.

The family started Hollister’s Nursery on Harbor Blvd. in

Costa Mesa, CA where she resided for 36 years before moving

to Paso Robles,CA for 25 years. Three years ago they moved

to Modesto,CA to be closer to family.

She is surived by her husband of 66 years Albert Hollister of

Modesto, son Steven Hollister of Fruita,CO; son Fred Hollister

of Sacramento,CA; daughter Laura Furu of Medford, OR;

seven grandchildren; Serena Stieg, Fruita,CO; Cori Andreatta

of Durango,CO; Daniel Furu of Central Point,OR; Emily

Clark of Denver,CO; Lisa Furu of Medford,OR; Rachel Hollister

of Olympia,WA and Lee Hollister of Baldwin,Mo. and 5

great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vern and Tilla Lee;

her son Alan Hollister; two brothers and 2 sisters.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church. She loved gardening,

hunting, skeet, and her family.

Burial will be at Harbor Rest in Costa Mesa,CA
