H.B. creditor sues Ed McMahon

Huntington Beach lender Westmoore Lending filed a lawsuit Monday against television personality Ed McMahon, saying the sweepstakes presenter and former “Tonight Show” announcer owes more than $275,000 from a loan he took out in 2006.

Court documents, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, didn’t say what the money was borrowed for, but the suit accuses McMahon of defaulting in 2007.

The suit is just the latest action taken by creditors against McMahon and his wife, Pamela, who are also fighting foreclosure on their Beverly Hills home and facing a lawsuit by Citibank for more than $179,000 in damages. The couple went on CNN talk show “Larry King Live” in June, saying they were in deep financial trouble.
