PET OF THE WEEK

Billy, a white, black and tan Catahoula with one brown eye and one blue eye, is up for adoption from the Community Animal Network, along with his counterpart Roxy.

Billy, who is also part Louisiana herding dog, has big ears that always bring a smile, the organization’s founder DiAnna Pfaff-Martin said.

“He never tires of playing tug of war and is persistent in getting you to throw the ball until you command ‘no more.’ ” Pfaff-Martin said.

Billy is 3 1/2 years old and is friendly, outgoing, smart, affectionate and likes to sleep with the family, Pfaff-Martin said. He doesn’t like cats or poodles.

Roxy is content sitting next to her owner and being petted, said Pfaff-Martin. Unlike Billy, she would be happy in a quiet adult home.

“A great home for Roxy is with someone who may work from home or that can provide companionship and attention that she loves,” Pfaff-Martin said.

The Papillion dog Wolfie found a new home last weekend. The organization is still waiting to find the two females a home as a pair. Call (949) 759-3646 if interested. Meet Billy and Roxy along with the two Papillion dogs from noon to 4 p.m. this weekend at Fashion Island. E-mail the network at contact@animalnetwork.org.

The network is still accepting donations for Snowball’s surgery costs. Mail your contribution to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658 and memo your check Snowball’s surgery non-profit tax ID 33-0971560.
