Man found shot to death in alley

The name of a dead man shot in an alleyway behind a Huntington Beach apartment complex has not yet been released, authorities said.

A man was found shot to death Sunday in the 2200 block of Hess Circle, Huntington Beach police Lt. Craig Bryant said.

Several callers told authorities they heard shots fired at about 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Bryant said. When police arrived, they found a man with several gunshot wounds lying in the alley behind an apartment complex that faces Delaware Street.

The Orange County Coroner’s Office has not finished an autopsy yet, and has not released the name of the victim.
