Closing night ‘carnivale’ is planned

Art-A-Fair is planning a closing night carnivale from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at 777 Laguna Canyon Road. This weekend will be the last chance to stroll the “streets” of the Venetian-themed Palazzo Laguna and enjoy the work of the 125 artist exhibitors before the 42nd annual season closes.

It will also be the final opportunity to bid on the silent auction items displayed all summer. Artwork hanging in the entryway has been donated by artists to the Art-A-Fair Foundation, and proceeds will be used to help support the arts in schools. There are also auction items with proceeds earmarked for grounds improvements, including services at Ziba Day Spa, an BMW M6 child’s pedal car, and a necklace by designer Karen Larsen.

On Sunday, the final day, Art-A-Fair will be open until 6 p.m., admission will be free to all and the Motown band Redd Street will play from 2 to 5 p.m.
