PET OF THE WEEK

Mia, a yellow Labrador and Whippet mix, is a 4-year-old spayed female who is outgoing and loves playing tug-of-war with the family, her caretaker said.

“She is also a loving couch potato when that’s what the family is doing,” said Community Animal Network founder DiAnna Pfaff-Martin. “At the dog park, Mia loves playing with other dogs and at home she has a favorite toy that distributes treats.”

Mia loves children of all ages, but is afraid of their moving toys such as remote control cars and skateboards, Pfaff-Martin said. Mia needs to be crated during those stressful periods and when vacuuming so she can feel secure.
