May-Treanor continues to line up TV appearances

Fresh off landing a spot on “Dancing With the Stars,” Misty May-Treanor, the former Newport Harbor High standout, will appear on Oprah and a Disney television show.
May-Treanor, who won her second Olympic gold medal in beach volleyball with Kerri Walsh at the Beijing Games, was one of 150 athletes invited to appear on Oprah’s season premiere of her show that was shot on Wednesday and will air on Monday at 3 p.m. on KABC.
May-Treanor will also make a guest appearance on the Disney Channel’s show, “Wizards of Waverly Place.” She will play herself in her cameo.
She is expected to continue competing on the Assn. of Volleyball Professionals Tour.
