ALISO VIEJO — Morgan Moody shot one-over-par 36 to earn medalist honors and help the Sailors record their lowest score in the nine years Coach Scott Tarnow has been with the program Tuesday at Aliso Viejo Country Club.

Lauren Draganza followed with a 38, Tiffany Kane carded a 39, while Lindsay Hanna’s 40, Casey Jones’ 41 also contributed to the win for the unbeaten Sailors (4-0).

Newport Harbor, which beat Foothill and Brea Monday in a three-way match, will play host to Back Bay rival Corona del Mar today at 3:30 p.m. at Santa Ana Country Club.

COSTA MESA — Eagles junior Tess Hill was medalist, firing an eight-over par 43 in the nonleague match Tuesday at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club’s Mesa Linda course.

Also scoring for Estancia (2-0) were Ashley Peters (46), Jeana DeArkal (48), Kim Haycraft and Nushin Tasbihchi (both 50).

Estancia plays host to Huntington Beach on Thursday at Mesa Linda.

ALISO VIEJO — Ashley Varner shot the lowest for the Sea Kings at six-over-par 42 Tuesday at Aliso Viejo Country Club.

CdM (1-1) did not play against Newport Harbor because the teams are already scheduled to compete against each other twice this season, Sea Kings Coach Mike Starkweather said.

Lisa Chan (44), Hyebin Huong (45), Amanda Johnson (45) and Tess Crane (47) also scored for CdM.

FULLERTON — Senior Natalie Small teamed up with senior Jeanne Frei as the Sailors’ No. 1 doubles team swept the nonleague competition in a season opener Tuesday.

Suzy Strutner also was part of the Sailors’ No. 2 doubles team that also swept.

Newport Harbor plays at Foothill today at 3 p.m.
