Police seek witnesses of fatal crash
Police are still looking for a driver who left the scene of a fatal crash in which four vehicles hit the same man on Pacific Coast Highway, authorities said. The victim, a Seal Beach resident, has been identified by the Orange County Coroner.
Kyle Chiodo, 25, was crossing Pacific Coast Highway between Brookhurst Street and Magnolia Street about 9:15 p.m. Saturday when a 2004 silver Nissan hit him, Huntington Beach police said.
After the first car hit Chiodo, three more crashed into him: a black Toyota 4Runner, a black Honda Element, and another black compact car that has not been identified, according to investigators.
Authorities say the black compact car left without stopping, and they are trying to track down the driver.
Chiodo died at the scene, authorities said.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Huntington Beach police at (714) 536-5666.
