Hoag Memorial comes in second in state hospitals
Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is considered one of the best hospitals in the state by patients, according to a survey conducted by the state department of health.
Based on a survey conducted between Jan. 1, 2007, and Dec. 31, 2007, by the California Hospital Association’s Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey, Hoag Hospital ranked second out of 232 hospitals statewide that patients would recommend friends and family go to.
It also ranked second in customer satisfaction.
The survey measures patients’ perception of their experiences at state hospitals.
Questions range from the time it took to receive treatment, what kind of treatment they received, to the cleanliness of the area and whether medications were properly explained.
