‘You Can, You Are’

In its fifth year, the Episcopal Fellowship of Lesbians and Gays and Straights, in conjunction with the Bishop’s Commission for Gay and Lesbian Ministry, will present a specially designed evening of shared faith experiences, music and reconciliation, all provided in an open ecumenical atmosphere bringing together people from many faith backgrounds in celebration of National Coming Out Day, observed Oct. 11.

This year’s multigenerational venue entitled “You Can, You Are” will feature people reading their own actual coming out story in light of their faith. Music will be provided by the celebrated GLBT vocal ensemble South Coast Chorale from Long Beach.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. at St. Wilfrid of York, 18631 Chapel Lane, Huntington Beach. Call (714) 962-7512 for more information.
