RIVERSIDE — Cal Baptist won in four games, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 27-25, in a battle of NAIA top-10 teams Tuesday.

Kelsey Wirt had a team-high 14 kills and added seven digs for No. 8 Vanguard (11-3, 6-3 in the Golden State Athletic Conference).

SAN DIEGO — Vanguard outshot Point Loma, 12-10, but battled to the tie Tuesday on the road in Golden State Athletic Conference action.

Jillian Foss made three saves for No. 24 Vanguard (6-2-2, 1-2-1 in conference).

Orange Coast 3, Fullerton 2

COSTA MESA — Madison Empting scored a pair of goals as the Pirates edged Fullerton in the Orange Empire Conference game Tuesday at LeBard Stadium.

Beth Krikorian also scored for OCC (5-4-3, 3-2-1 in conference), which held on after going up, 3-0.

IRVINE — Scotty Locken’s second goal of the game, in the 88th minute, lifted the Pirates to the Orange Empire Conference win Tuesday.

Locken, who also scored in the 55th minute on Marco Ramirez’s assist, scored the deciding goal with two minutes left after Gustavo Ibarra’s cross. Brian Rippeto had four saves for the Pirates.

OCC, which snapped a five-game losing streak, improved to 5-6, 1-2 in conference.
