POLICE FILES: Police decline fingerprinting for ‘yogurt crime’

Stanford Lane: Someone reported that oil was poured all over his car in the 15300 block, but when police arrived, it appeared to be Pinkberry yogurt instead. Police declined to do fingerprinting and DNA testing because “we do not do DNA for yogurt crimes.”

Bolsa Avenue: A burglarized car was reported in the 6800 block at 8:33 a.m. Saturday.

Juliette Low Drive: Tires were reportedly slashed throughout the neighborhood in the 7600 block at 8:12 a.m. Monday.

San Angelo Drive: Identity theft was reported in the 8200 block at 5:11 p.m. Monday.

Tasman Drive and Baffin Circle: Someone was reportedly shooting off fireworks 6:38 p.m. Sunday.

Ash Street: Several cars’ tires were reportedly slashed in the 17100 block at 5:26 p.m. Sunday.

Bolton Circle: Some oil-soaked rags reportedly spontaneously combusted and set the side of a house on fire in the 17800 block at 3:49 a.m. Monday.

Talbert Avenue: Petty theft, with the suspect in custody, was reported in the 8200 block at 4:33 p.m. Saturday.

Warner Avenue: A man reportedly broke a taxi window, challenged someone to a fight and then ran off chasing him in the 5800 block at 2:26 a.m. Sunday.

Warner Avenue: A stolen sport utility vehicle was reported in the 4900 block at 6:18 p.m. Monday.

Pacific Coast Highway: About four people were reportedly trespassing on a construction site and taking roofing material in the 400 block at 1:56 a.m. Sunday.

Walnut Avenue: A burglarized car was reported in the 200 block at 3:51 a.m. Monday.

Walnut Avenue and Seventh Street: A stolen sport utility vehicle was reported at 8:44 a.m. Saturday.

Adams Avenue: Two forged checks were reported in the 10000 block at 11:35 a.m. Monday.

Atlanta Avenue: A restaurant was reportedly burglarized of its cash drawer in the 9100 block at 9:11 a.m. Monday.

Levee Drive: A group of youths reportedly pulled drinking fountains off of a school wall and threw them into the trees before running off, in the 9700 block at 8:15 a.m. Monday.

Bay Circle: Identity theft was reported in the 17600 block at 11:52 a.m. Monday.

Date Street: A stolen vehicle was reported in the 18900 block at 7:35 a.m. Monday.

Ottawa River Avenue: A stolen car was reported in the 8700 block at 10:12 a.m. Monday.

Recreation Circle: A stolen car was reported in the 9100 block at 2:49 a.m. Tuesday.

Thames River Avenue: A stolen car was reported in the 8900 block at 11:35 p.m. Monday.
