COSTA MESA — Ryan Marquez scored two goals, including the game-winner in the second overtime to lead the Lions to the Golden State Athletic Conference win Tuesday.

Marquez scored in the 103rd minute with the assist credited to Jason Swift and Luis Macias. Swift also scored for Vanguard (7-3-2, 5-0-1 in conference) with Victor Tapia assisting in the 63rd minute. Swift’s goal tied the score, 1-1. Concordia (7-5-1, 4-2) went up, 2-1 in the 58th minute. Mendoza off an assist from Ryan Angell tied it at 2 in the 63rd minute.

Trevor Herrera had four saves for the Lions.

Orange Coast 2,

Santa Ana 2

SANTA ANA — Luis Parra scored two goals late to help the Pirates tie in the Orange Empire Conference match Tuesday.

The first goal came in the 75th minute and the equalizer came in the 82nd minute.

The Dons had one final chance to take the lead as Robert Lopez took a shot at a seemingly open net only to have it kicked away by an OCC defender.

Goalie Jake Mahlstedt had five saves for OCC (6-6-1, 2-2-1 in conference).

Daniel Ruiz scored both goals for Santa Ana (8-4-3, 2-1-2) two minutes apart from each other. The first came off a failed clearing attempt by OCC in the 26th minute and the second came off a free kick by Richard Rivera.

Orange Coast 1,

Irvine Valley 0

IRVINE — Sophomore Teresa Warner scored off an assist from Kaleigh Trider to lead the Pirates to the Orange Empire Conference win and their fifth straight victory Tuesday.

OCC (7-4-3, 5-2-1 in conference) outshot Irvine Valley, 14-4. The Lasers dropped to 3-9-3, 1-4-3.
