Registered nurses award UCI Medical Center

UCI Medical Center received another accolade this year, when university officials announced the hospital was named among the top state hospitals by “ADVANCE for Nurses” readers in a poll that surveyed more than 450 hospitals nationwide.

In the magazine’s Readers’ Choice survey, in its sophomore year, UCI Medical Center was named for the second time. Readers were asked to select hospitals that stood out for empowering, engaging and supporting nurses while stressing patient care, officials said.

Organization, communication and quality of patient care were considered by readers, registered nurses, who ranked hospitals in a 50-question survey. The hospitals that received high marks in all were named Readers’ Choice hospitals.
