Men get spiffy to start work after homelessness, substance abuse

More than 100 men moving out of substance abuse and homelessness and into the workforce will get a new look to help them feel their best as part of the 11th annual Men’s Day of Self-Esteem, held by Irvine-based charity Working Wardrobes.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley , 16566 Newhope St., participants will be fitted with donated professional clothing. They also will have the chance to take advantage of haircuts, manicures and other grooming services offered by local volunteers.

Attendees will also work on a mock job interview and attend a career fair.
