Organic cotton tees

Newport Beach natives Andy Drakeford and Heather Artukovich created the 88 orange collection, a line of perfectly fitting organic cotton tees. The two fashion experts launched their line of tees out of necessity. While working at A’Maree’s, a high-end designer boutique in Newport Beach, they were constantly on the hunt for the perfect T-shirt, but to no avail. So they decided to create their own. In homage to their love of Orange County and 88 (the ideal size of an orange picked from a tree), Orange 88 products embody the allure of OC’s natural beauty and its orange grove heritage.

The shirts are made in the U.S. from organic yarns woven together to create lightweight comfortable tees that are refined, flattering and perfect for layering.

The cut of each tee is inspired by Andy and Heather’s appreciation and exposure to European fashions and blended with the relaxed and modern lifestyle of Orange County.

The tee collection includes tanks tops, tunics, long-sleeved tees and more. Prices range from $65 to $95. The shirts are laundered in the company’s signature orange blossom scent. Blossom perfume and soy candles are available at select stores. They are available locally at Patina in Costa Mesa, (949) 548-1930; Trio in Newport Coast, (949) 497-9003; Zschocke on Balboa Island, (949) 673-2220; Les Interieurs in Newport Beach, (949) 650-7603; and Westerly in Corona del Mar, (949) 313-7111. Getting that pair

In this month’s Vogue, I read that eyelashes are so hot that they could be the new breasts. “Women are obsessed with getting a bigger, better pair,” according to Vogue.

The eyelash craze has taken off. I found a new eyelash extension studio where you can get eyelashes that you always dreamed about.

Lovely Lashes owner Jackie Dark was a longtime customer at Luscious Lashes. She recently opened Lovely Lashes with Sheri Mansur, the owner of Luscious Lashes, as a consultant. Mansur is an eyelash guru who pioneered the luxury eyelash studio. While your eyelash extensions are applied, you can relax in comfortable reclining chairs and even take a nap. The application process takes two hours. Lovely Lashes offers a holiday special — a full set costs $160 (normally $220), and touch-ups take 45 minutes and cost $45. By appointment only. Lovely Lashes is at 115 Broadway, Costa Mesa. (949) 548-LASH.
