COSTA MESA — Ellie Edles won both of her matches at No. 1 singles before being substituted out in the Eagles’ Orange Coast League match at Costa Mesa Thursday.

Jennifer Johnston swept at No. 2 singles, as did Laurel Hinson at No. 3 singles for Estancia (10-4, 4-1 in league).

IRVINE — The No. 1 doubles team of Danielle Kaiden and Lindsay Zotovich swept winning 18 of 19 games for the undefeated Sea Kings in their Pacific Coast League match Thursday.

No. 2 doubles team Karen Ishii and Kelli Feeley also swept, dropping just three games for Corona del Mar (10-0, 4-0 in league), ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division I.

The Sea Kings play host to Laguna Hills Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.

CYPRESS — The No. 1 doubles team of Dominique Moore and Devyn Billingsley swept, winning 18 of 19 games for the Lightning in their Academy League match Thursday.

No. 2 doubles team Isa-Marie Taskinen and Rian Billingsley also swept for Sage Hill (12-2, 4-0 in league), ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division IV.

The Lightning play host to unbeaten St. Margaret’s, ranked No. 1 in CIF Division IV, today at 3:15 p.m. at Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club.

YORBA LINDA — Lauren Draganza shot a six-over-par 42 for the Sailors’ low, but Harbor suffered its first loss of the season in a Sunset League match at Yorba Linda Country Club Thursday.

Ali Thomas (44), Casey Jones (46), Tiffany Kane (46), Lindsey Hanna (48) also scored for the Sailors (15-1, 7-1 in league).

Esperanza improved to 14-3, 7-1.

NEWPORT BEACH — Ashley Varner shot seven-over-par 42 for the Sea Kings, who won without team captain Kelly Moorhead, in a Pacific Coast League match at Newport Beach Country Club.

Moorhead went home sick before the match began, CdM Coach Mike Starkweather said. Grace Kim (43), Amanda Johnson (44), Tess Crane (45) and Hyebin Hong (48) also contributed to the win for the Sea Kings (8-8, 5-3 in league).

COSTA MESA — Kim Haycraft shot two-over-par 36 to earn medalist honors for the Eagles in their Golden West League win at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club’s Mesa Linda course Thursday.

Jeana de Arakal (39), Ashley Peters (41), Nicole Irigoyen (43) and Jackie Crosson (48) also contributed to the win for Estancia (13-3, 7-1 in league), which will play host to Laguna Beach for the league title Monday at 2:30 p.m.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Kirby Burnham had 21 kills to help lead the Sailors to a 22-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17 Sunset League win at Huntington Beach High Thursday.

Mary Buckingham (seven kills and four digs), Katey Thompson (nine kills, four blocks), Alice Cope (three kills), Arielle Lysacek (five kills, 18 assists), Mackenzi Campbell (three aces and 15 assists) and Carly Cotton (12 digs) contributed to the win for Newport Harbor (14-4, 3-1 in league), ranked No. 7 in CIF Southern Section Division I-AA.

The Sailors will play at Fountain Valley on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Liz Tennyson and Kylie Sheppard scored a goal each for the Sailors in their Sunset League game at Harper Community Center Thursday.

Kimmy Ramser had an assist and goalie Sydney King had six saves.

Sheppard also scored a goal in Newport Harbor’s 3-1 win over Westminster Wednesday. Caroline Hardenbergh and Terra Giacomaro each scored a goal, while Ramser, Ali Gilcrhist and Lauren Chandler contributed one assist each.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

COSTA MESA — Eric Michelson scored two goals for the Eagles in their nonleague loss Thursday.
