POLITICAL NOTES
Close of voter registration is midnight Monday
Anyone who is not registered to vote for the Presidential Election must do so prior to midnight on Monday.
On Monday, the Registrar-Recorder’s office will be open until midnight offering citizens the opportunity to register to vote, or if they are already registered they can vote in the drive-through voting lane. Visitors can enter the facility at 1300 S. Grand Ave., Santa Ana.
Mail-in ballots available
Mail-in ballots are no longer just for absentee voters. Laguna Beach City Clerk Martha Anderson reports that the Registrar of Voters is encouraging the use of Vote-by Mail ballots, which will be distributed through Oct. 28.
