Bison Bay Café, previously known as Champagnes Market and Deli, has opened its doors in a new location.

The new eatery, now in the Newport North Shopping Center at MacArthur Boulevard and Bison Avenue in Newport Beach, will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu that features fresh salads, deli sandwiches, homemade bakery treats and fire-crusted barbecue ribs, as well as a selection of beer and wine. The new location also offers patio dining.

“We are excited to continue serving our loyal customers in a new and remodeled location,” owner Rand McDevitt said.

The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Dunes to open $2M bay-front restaurant

The new Back Bay Bistro will open Nov. 6, taking the spot where the Back Bay Café previously occupied.

Executive Chef Daniel Jimenez will serve up an assorted menu featuring filet mignon topped with bearnaise sauce, rib-eye steak with sautéed mushrooms and onions and blackened salmon salad drizzled with pineapple vinaigrette.

According to Vice President and General Manager of Newport Dunes Andrew Theaodour, the new restaurant is the result of a $2-million renovation and upgrade.
