Support Marines with turkey-shaped cards

The Huntington Beach 3/1 Marines Foundation will sell turkey-shaped message cards to send to the city’s adopted Marine battalion for Thanksgiving.

In-person sales will take place in front of the Wal-Mart at 13331 Beach Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 1.

The scratchboard cards are $5 each, and may be decorated on the front by scratching on the paper, leaving a design. Messages may also be written on the front side of the card, or on the back.

Funds raised will benefit the Huntington Beach 3/1 Marines Foundation’s many projects and programs, including food vouchers, a holiday gathering for wives and children whose loved ones are deployed, and responding to emergency needs.
